As a Covington native, I always knew I would return home after completing my training to practice dermatology and raise my family in this wonderful community that raised me.
Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a doctor. I was particularly drawn to the field of dermatology because of the mix of medical visits with surgical and cosmetic procedures. I enjoy the office environment where I can see the problem and address it, sometimes instantly. I also love that I can treat every age group, thus take care of entire families as they grow.
Growing up purple and gold ran through my family’s veins so it was only fitting that I attended LSU for my undergraduate degree. I then went on to attend LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans for my medical doctorate before finally completing a residency in Dermatology at LSU in 2014. Twelve years of LSU education makes me a Tiger for life and I always knew I would return home to Covington to raise my family and practice dermatology. Part of what I love so much about practicing where I grew up is taking care of friends that I have known since grade school and to now to be trusted to care for their entire family is such an honor.
My husband John is my high school sweetheart and the rock of our family. We married in 2005 and he as been by my side throughout all of my physician training. We started our family during my last year of medical school with our daughter Audrey and completed our family during my final year of residency with our twins Charlotte and John David. We settled into our forever home here in St Tammany just over a year ago and we couldn’t be happier with that decision. We have our hands and hearts full but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Entering my seventh year of dermatology practice, I decided that it was time to realize my dream of having my own practice. I am so thrilled to open Malinski Dermatology in September of 2020 in Lacombe, Louisiana. My practice offers a comprehensive approach to skin health and confidence for every age. We treat a full range of dermatologic conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, warts, molluscum, rashes, skin cancers, and skin screening exams just to name a few. We also offer full-service cosmetic dermatology treatments with Botox, fillers, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, PRP, HydraFacial, lasers, and tumescent liposuction. We carry a carefully curated collection of medical-grade skincare lines such as Revision Skincare, EltaMD, and Jane Iredale to enhance and maintain skin health. I am also proud to offer my customized skincare line MalinSKIN to fully address the skin health needs of my patients.
The skin is our body’s largest organ and as our first layer of defense, it is exposed to everything in our environment. Protect your skin from sun damage that can lead to cancer, nourish your skin from within by feeding it nutrient-rich foods and plenty of hydration, and use high-quality products on your skin to maintain its optimal function.
